The term ‘wedding breakfast’ dates back to the 17th century when wedding ceremonies were usually part of Eucharistic Mass, so newlyweds would have been fasting ahead of the service. The meal they shared afterwards was literally breaking the fast. We certainly don’t expect you to go hungry on your special day, so the delicious local fare will start with a locally sourced breakfast hamper.
As well as our exceptional range of wedding day catering options, we can provide locally sourced wedding cheesecakes, welcome hampers, in-cottage dining packages and breakfast hampers for your guests. You are welcome to bring your own wedding cake and we can accommodate local ice cream vans.
Catering for everyone
Whether you opt for romantic private dining for two, a full wedding banquet, or a coastal-inspired barbecue, your wedding breakfast at Ocean Kave is more than just a meal, it is a dining experience. Our catering team will work with you to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences.
Three-course wedding breakfast
Our Small and Intimate Wedding package offers the choice of a seasonal barbecue or a three-course wedding breakfast. Barbecues are very popular at Ocean Kave in the summer, providing a more informal experience without compromising on quality ingredients. Our elegant three-course dining option brings the finest Devon produce to your table.
Clifftop picnic
With our Oyster Elopement package, you can choose between a romantic sunset picnic on the clifftop or inside the Kave with up to six guests, or a three-course meal in your luxury bridal suite. Whichever you choose, you will be treated to quality local ingredients.
Little Extras
As well as our thoughtfully crafted range of wedding day catering options, we can provide delicious locally-made wedding cheesecakes, in-cottage dining and breakfast hampers for your guests. You might also opt to indulge in a late-night supper or grazing platter in the evening.
