Beautiful Grounds in North Devon

Ocean Kave is a truly spectacular Devon Wedding Venue with a setting for any celebration of love. Unique, romantic, and secluded, the Kave ceremony room is nestled within 60 acres of totally private grounds and is the perfect intimate or elopement wedding venue.

Our beautiful grounds were once home to a thoroughbred racing stud and many of the racehorses still reside here. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of other resident wildlife, such as a roe deer or porpoise. We promise these will be the only uninvited guests on your big day!

Photographers love capturing weddings at Ocean Kave. One of their favourite locations is a private coastal path leading from the Kave, which offers a spectacular backdrop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Lundy Island for your wedding album. Although we do not advise walking to Westward Ho! in your wedding attire, most photographers will happily take you down to the beach for photos after the ceremony.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and North Devon’s treasured Lundy Island, the Kave is a very special coastal wedding venue. We are located within an official UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On a clear night, couples can even exchange vows under the stars.

Our venue is designed to take full advantage of North Devon’s magnificent sunsets. Many of our couples have chosen to exchange vows as the sun dips into the ocean. We can’t imagine a more beautiful way to start a marriage.

The inspiration for Ocean Kave came one balmy summer evening near our family home at Duckhaven Stud. We watched horses galloping in front of the sunset and were so overwhelmed with the beauty and romance of it all that we decided we should share the magic with others. One year later, Ocean Kave was born.

Couples with their hearts set on exchanging vows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean can do so on our beautiful lawn. On days when the weather is not on our side, our atmospheric natural stone Kave features floor-to-ceiling bi-folding glass doors, so you won’t miss out on the spectacular views.

Yes you certainly can, we are a fully licenced wedding venue which mean you can take your vows with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop

Are you an all weather wedding venue?

We are an all weather venue, if the weather is not on our side it is very easy for us to move the wedding into the Ocean Kave which s also fully licenced.
