We welcome all couples and have been privileged to host civil partnerships and weddings for members of the LGBTQ+ community since we opened in 2014. We are very proud that Ocean Kave is a leading LGBTQ+ friendly wedding venue and feel that It’s a shame in 2023 that we need to have a separate page for our fabulous same sex weddings, as in our eyes a wedding is a wedding regardless of who is taking the vows. However, there are still some venues who do not see things the same way we do which is why sometimes couples feel they need to check. We hope that you accept this page as a very welcome invitation to get in touch and see how we can make your wedding a truly romantic and memorable experience.
Our beautiful coastal wedding venue offers couples a choice of an intimate candlelit ceremony inside the Kave or an elegant clifftop ceremony for up to 28 guests, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Whatever you have in mind for your big day, we will work with you every step of the way. We specialise in elopements, small and intimate weddings and ceremony only options.
Your wedding, your way
One of the many wonderful things about weddings at Ocean Kave is that there are no requirements to stick to ‘traditional’ ways of conducting the ceremony. Our dedicated planning team delivers a highly personalised experience and will help bring your vision to life.
Out with the old
Did you know that many moons ago, it was decided that the groom should stand on the right as they were required to keep their right hand free to defend the bride from other suitors? Thankfully, none of this is relevant to weddings in 2023. All that matters is marrying the person you love.
Gender-neutral weddings
We will work with you to create a fully inclusive celebration, from nearlyweds to newlyweds. Our role is to create an unforgettable experience for two people in love, so we would be honoured to discuss your dream ceremony and help make it a reality. Let us know how you would like to be addressed and details that are important to you both.
Your ‘I Do Crew’
Gender doesn’t define our roles. Your ‘I Do Crew’ will be there for you no matter what, so give them the roles you think they will love, and we will help you to include them in the order of the day.
