When Sarah and Gareth first visited Devon’s unique coastal wedding venue,Ocean Kave,they were planning a small,intimate wedding. The couple were focussed that they wanted to get married by the Ocean in North Devon,they had visited a few other Devon wedding venues and fell head over heels in love with

Sarah and Ocean Kave’s senior wedding planner Kathy had a great rapport,with Sarah loving Kathy’s calm yet in-control style,and Kathy just loving the way that Sarah and Gareth adapted every time a new announcement meant that they had to go back to the drawing board with wedding plans. Due to the Government Guidelines surrounding international travel at the time of the couple’s wedding,it was impossible for all of their much loved family and friends to attend.  The couple did not want the guests to miss them tie the knot so they engaged Chris Catullo from North Summit Wedding Films to capture their day.  Chris a well know drone expert and has a wealth of accolades for his incredible videography,he certainly pulled it out of the bag for Gareth and Sarah – take a look at their beautiful wedding video on our Ocean Kave Elopement Wedding page.

Saturday 26th September was a stunning autumnal day with glorious sunshine. Sam’s Hair and beauty arrived at Royal Celerity,our five-star bridal cottage,to give Sarah the full bridal pamper that she deserved,before meeting with the registrar and finally heading to the Kave to begin the next,beautiful chapter of the couple’s life together.

Sarah’s beautiful dress was complemented by a red shawl,which matched Gareth’s bowtie and the guests showed that face coverings can be worn in style.

After the ceremony,the couple and their guests enjoyed a private champagne toast served in crystal saucers on the lawn to stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and azure skies before heading to the beach at Westward Ho! for photos by the talented Michael Wells. Michael is a well-known local Devon wedding photographer and has captured many bespoke weddings at Ocean Kave over the years and is on our recommended suppliers list.

The couple’s photographer and videographer worked seamlessly together to create some breath-taking and magical wedding memories.
