Ocean Kave is a hidden gem nestled amidst the stunning landscape of Westward Ho! in North Devon.  Our beautiful venue boasts panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, dramatic cliffs, and golden sandy beaches. The secluded location and private family-owned grounds, offer our couples an intimate and romantic ambiance for their special day with a breath-taking background for a private wedding album.

When Raminta and Alex decided to get married in May 2023,  they were looking for an intimate ceremony in a beautiful location that offered a calm and stress-free wedding experience.

We were delighted that they found us, as our coastal wedding venue was perfect match for the couple’s wedding venue wish list. As the couple were based out of county, and both had busy lifestyles, this meant they were unable to come down to the venue before securing the date, it was important that we could work with them remotely and share our trusted suppliers list. The couple booked Ocean Kave without viewing in person, however they were lucky to have parents who lived locally and could pop over to have a meeting with our planning team.

Raminta looked absolutely stunning in an elegant floor length flowing bridal gown, the bride complimented her outfit with a beautiful spray bouquet supplied by local florists Blooms of Bideford.

After a romantic and emotional ceremony inside the Ocean Kave, the couple adjourned to the lawn for a selection of canapes, Prosecco, and elderflower fizz.  The Atlantic Ocean was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s wedding album and they certainly managed to capture some breath-taking wedding photography.  The couple chose Gareth Williams from GRW Photography to capture their day. Gareth has a wealth of experience shooting at Ocean Kave and is well known through the South West for his reportage style.

Whilst the merry throng of guests retired to our beautiful purpose-built reception space – The Rustic Barn for lawn games and more canapes, the couple chose this special moment to share some additional private and intimate vows set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.

A BBQ feast was enjoyed by all, and much fun was had on the lawn with a selection of lawn games to please all.  Later that evening the couple enjoyed a sensational Ocean Kave sunset. Their photographer Gareth did what he does best and captured the sun set to perfection! They then danced the night away in the rustic barn before retiring to the Paddocks newlywed’s cottage.
