Ocean Kave Elopement weddings are always so personal and romantic, this was certainly the case when Heather and Tom chose to tie the know in a beautiful cliff top wedding in mid-May.  The couple had their hearts set on a destination elopement wedding. A breath-taking location with beautiful scenery to compliment the couples’ wedding photos were an important consideration.  

Heather and Tom decided to elope to the North Devon coast at Ocean Kave as they were drawn by the magic of the location with the sweeping views over the Atlantic Ocean as well as the bespoke inclusive package which was tailored to accommodate a luxurious extended honeymoon in the award-winning Royal Celerity bridal suite.

On the couple’s wedding day, the sun was shining, and the crystal blue waters of the Ocean reflected the abundance of love which was in the air - even the chorus of  birds made their presence known to the couple during their stay.

The couple chose to take their wedding vows inside the Ocean Kave with a glorious view of the Atlantic Ocean and Lundy Island. Tom was dapper in a pale blue linen suit whilst Heather looked resplendent in a stunning floor length fish tail dress complimented with a beautiful spring flower crown in hues of pink with a matching bouquet.

After the ceremony the couple accompanied their photographer Marc Collins from MK Collins photographyfor a private photo shoot on the beach before retiring to their beautiful honeymoon cottage for a private dining banquet.

Heather and Tom’s top tips for couples considering an Ocean Kave Oyster Elopement wedding are –

“Location is key because you are not spending the day with your guests, spending time with your new husband or wife surrounded by beautiful scenery makes the day feel extra special. It also means you can capture stunning photos to remember the day by. 

Make the day exactly how you want. You can do as little or as much of the standard wedding traditions as you want.  Just because you are eloping, doesn’t mean you can’t tell your friends and family before you go! We found everyone to be just as excited for us”
