Our Elopement and Small Intimate Wedding packages include two nights in our gorgeous newlywed cottage - the Paddocks. This beautiful cottage features an ornate Parisian-style bed and super size Jacuzzi bath. The Paddocks is set within 60 acres of unspoiled grounds, the 60 acres of coastal grounds overlook rolling countryside and out towards Lundy Island and the Atlantic ocean.

With our exclusive small wedding packages, you can arrive the day before the wedding to unwind while we take care of all the finishing touches to your big day. On the day of the wedding, there is no need to rush around — make-up artists will come to the cottage to help you get ready. Our wedding packages include a bespoke breakfast hamper, made with locally sourced ingredients, so you can enjoy a delicious breakfast on the morning of your wedding. After the ceremony, you can be assured of a luxurious and romantic wedding night. If you’d like to stay for longer to explore this magical corner of North Devon, it is possible to extend your stay in the Paddocks bridal suite, subject to availability. 

We are a dog friendly wedding venue so if your four-legged friend is part of the wedding party, why not treat them to a makeover? Lorrayne from K9 Coastal Cuts can collect your pooch from the cottage in the morning and bring them back wedding ready! There are so many wonderful dog-friendly beaches to explore on our doorstep including Westward Ho! Beach, Instow, and a little further afield, Saunton Sands, Woolacome and the Sandy Coves in Combe Martin.

After the wedding ceremony, many couples choose to spend their honeymoon with us in North Devon and with so many award-winning restaurants, romantic pubs, and beaches to explore, it’s easy to see why. In nearby Bideford, Number Eight is an intimate fine dining restaurant serving exquisite seasonal tasting menus. Be sure to book well in advance! In Westward Ho!, just a stone’s throw from Ocean Kave, Morans is a popular Thai restaurant with sea views. For locally sourced, homemade dishes in a picturesque, historic pub, don’t miss The Thatched Inn in Abbotsham, less than two miles away. You will be spoiled for choice on your Devon honeymoon!

Our popular Honeymoon Cottages are Kala’s Cottage with the glorious hot tub on the balcony which overlooks the Sunset, Royal Celerity and Dream Cottage – both of these cottages have incredible views of the sunrise.  These properties are available to book for a 7n stay and it is possible to offset your complimentary two nights in the Paddocks against one of these beautiful cottages.

From the grounds of Ocean Kave and our romantic cottages at Westward Living, you can enjoy private access onto the South West Coastal Foot Path – a stunning coastal path passing through historic fishing villages and ancient woodland. Approximately 12 miles away along the coast path, the charming village of Clovelly – named the most ‘Instagrammable’ village in the UK – is a must-see. Why not stop by The Red Lion in the harbour for a fish supper before returning to your plush holiday cottage? For an added touch of luxury, we can arrange for masseurs to stop by the cottage for a deep tissue massage after a day of exploring the coast.
